What is the difference between a Pass and a Full Archive?
A Pass gives you freshness within a rolling window. The Full Archive gives you the full history we hold for the dataset, frozen at purchase. They solve different problems, and they work together. A Pass is a subscription with API access and continuous updates inside its window. The Full Archive is a one-off purchase of the full history we hold as gzipped CSV, frozen at purchase, with a 7 day download link.
What does 'rolling window' mean?
Most Pass datasets carry a rolling window, typically the most recent 24 months. As new data arrives, the oldest data leaves the window. Each dataset page states its exact window.
Can I buy both?
Yes. The bundle pairs the Full Archive with a Pass at a modest saving, and it is the right choice if you train on deep history and operate on fresh data.
What's included with each package?
Every package gets you full SQL access (browser playground or any client), CSV/Excel/Parquet/JSON downloads, the REST API, and the MCP integration for Claude Desktop / Cursor / agents. No usage caps for normal interactive work.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. Some datasets are completely free — no credit card, no subscription. Browse the catalog for the FREE pills. You can also query sample data on every premium dataset before you subscribe.
Can I switch packages or cancel anytime?
Yes — subscriptions are month-to-month with one-click cancel from your dashboard. Annual plans pay up front but cancel anytime; we refund the unused months on request.
Do I pay per seat?
No. One subscription, one API key, share it with your team or use it from a service. We rate-limit per API key so the only effective constraint is volume, not headcount.
How fresh is the data?
Most datasets refresh within 1–6 hours of the source publishing new records. The Updated timestamp on every dataset page shows the last refresh. Live race odds (HKJC) update every 30 seconds during meetings.
